KUPWARA, NOV 08 – In a significant success against narcotics smuggling, the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Border Security Force (BSF) jointly recovered suspected narcotics during a coordinated operation in Tangdhar, Kupwara. The operation, code-named “Operation Hajitra,” was launched following specific intelligence input received from Police Station Taad.

Acting swiftly on the information, a search operation was carried out in Hajitra village, during which the forces discovered a discreetly concealed package from the residence of Mr. Mohd Shafi Sheikh, located in Sheikh Mohalla, Ward No. 1. The recovered package contained approximately 800 grams of a brown solid substance, suspected to be high-grade heroin.
