DC Kathua discusses modalities for celebration of Digital J&K Week-2022

KATHUA – Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today convened a meeting to discuss preparations for celebration of Digital J&K week being celebrated across Jammu and Kashmir from 25-31 July 2022.

At the outset, DC expounded that JK UT administration has launched digital services to ease the public service delivery and to bring transparency in delivery of services to the citizens. It was decided in the meeting that a week-long mega event – “Digital J&K” will be held at Lakhanpur wherein demonstrations regarding access of online services shall be carried out by different departments and agencies for which dedicated stalls/ kiosks will be installed.

During the meeting, the DC directed concerned officers to impart awareness about the online services viz e-Unnat, Revenue services, DigiLockers etc through an aggressive IEC campaign in coordination with NIC.

The DC directed Rural Development department to carry outreach campaign in rural periphery of the district for wide publicity of various IT initiatives with special impetus on online services, RAS Feedback mechanism, BEAMS- Empowerment, Jan Bhagidari and e-Unnat etc with the support of Information Department.

Education department was directed by DC Kathua to ensure visits of school and college students to the venue during the week-long celebrations.

The ACD was directed to spread awareness about online services through wall paintings at block and panchayat levels besides ensuring active participation of PRIs in the Digital Mela.
