Udhampur DDC conducts extensive tour of remote areas of Dudu Sub Division

Inspects progress of work on Road projects

UDHAMPUR – To monitor the status and progress of developmental works being executed under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) in the District, the District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today conducted an extensive tour of remote and hilly block of Ramnagar and Dudu-Basantgarh.

Executive Engineer PMGSY, Satish Bhagat briefed the DDC about the status of under execution Road projects.

During the whirlwind tour, the  DDC   inspected the progress of  work  on Basantgarh  to Khaned road, Majori to Shiv Gali road, Kulwanta, Majori road, Gandhtop and other roads of the area.

The PMGSY department was directed to expedite the road construction work without compromising on   quality and leaving no scope of complaint from any quarter.

The DDC set September 30, 2022  as the deadline for completion of all the PMGSY road projects in the district.

While inspecting the PWD roads, the DDC asked the department to blacklist those contractors who failed to adhere to the timeline.  She asked the executing agency to gear up men and machinery and complete the ongoing works within the stipulated time frame.

The PMGSY and R&B Engineers were asked to execute works in coordination with the Divisional Forest officers and Revenue officers to avoid delay.
