J&K Reports 2 Covid-19 Deaths, 187 Fresh Cases

SRINAGAR –  Jammu and Kashmir reported 187 fresh covid-19 cases while two persons died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Saturday.

Among the fresh cases, 24 were reported from Jammu Division and 163 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 335203.

There were two deaths due to the virus, both from Kashmir division, during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4461—2182 in Jammu and 2279 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 61 cases, Baramulla 56, Budgam 8, Pulwama 2, Kupwara 6, Anantnag 4, Bandipora 9, Ganderbal 15, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 19, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 1, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 2.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and male (19) (NA) from Harwan Sgr, female (48) (NA) from Bemina Sgr, female (55) (NA) from Budgam, male (33) (NA) from Sgr, female (58) (NA) from Sgr, male (32) (NA) from Sgr, male (60) (NA) from Chattabal Sgr, female (65) (NA) from Khag, male (20) (NA) from Pattan baramulla, female (45) (NA) from Tangmarg, male (05) (NA) from Qamarwari, male (65) from Rawalpora, male (26) (NA) from Lalbazar, male (40) from Shalteng, male (40) (NA) from Baghat, male (48) (NA) from Sgr, female (60) (NA) from Bumhama kupwara, male (43) from Iqbal colony baramulla, male (33) from Hanga handwara, male (80) from Hanga handwara, male (40) from Champora vilgam, male (30) from Pazalpora, female (16) from High School Supernaghama, male (39) from Army, male (33) from Nowgam, male (70) (NA) from Pachara pulwama, male (58) (NA) from Gulshanabad, male (42) (NA) from Sgr, female (17) (NA) from Batamaloo, male (61) from Pattan, female (65) from Eidgah, male (67) from Bypass, male (60) from Sanatnagar, female (87) from Gogjibagh and female (80) from Pulwama.

Moreover, 158 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 34 from Jammu Division and 127 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 329046 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1696—262 in Jammu and 1444 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 48875 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
