RTO Kashmir administers pledge against corruption

SRINAGAR –  Observing Vigilance Awareness Week, the Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Kashmir today administered pledge to officers and other staff at his office to eradicate corruption and ensure hassle-free services to the people.

The pledge was taken in the backdrop of Vigilance Awareness Week celebrations to eradicate corruption from the society.

The Vigilance Awareness Week is celebrated between October-26 to November -1 across the country to bring greater awareness on complaints under public interest disclosure and protection of informers and conduct a special clearance campaign for clearing all outstanding vigilance matters.

While administering the pledge to the employees, it was impressed upon that employees shall promote ethical business practices and foster culture of honesty and integrity, not offer or accept bribes, ensure transparency and account, adhere to laws and rules, adopt code of ethics, honest discharge of duties, provide prompt grievance redressal and protect rights and interests of stakeholders and society.

RTO Kashmir, Sajid Yehya Naqash said that the Week is celebrated to pledge to eradicate corruption and make our society a corruption- free society.

He emphasized that employees should provide hassle-free services to the people in the RTO office and refrain from all practices of corruption.

RTO urged people to adopt online system and apply for services virtually to help the system to eradicate corruption from society.
