DC Srinagar reviews implementation of PMAY Urban

Directs field staff to cover each of the genuine beneficiaries under the norms

SRINAGAR – The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting to review the implementation and progress under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY Urban in the district.

The DC directed the concerned officers to ensure that the scheme guidelines are followed in letter and spirit so that all genuine eligible beneficiaries are covered under the scheme in the district.

The DC took Tehsil wise and Ward Wise review of the scheme and progress made so far. He enjoined upon the concerned officers to compile the data about the beneficiaries by checking all parameters as per the scheme guidelines including title verification as per revenue records, proper Aadhaar seeding and geotagging of all the cases by October, 29, 2021 so that cases are forwarded for release of payment under the scheme

On the occasion, the DC asked  all the concerned officers to ensure not a single genuine beneficiary is left out of the coverage of the scheme. He said the District should be 100% saturated within the timeframe set by the Government.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, SDM West, Akshay Labroo, SDM East, Owais Mushtaq, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Rais Ahmad, Joint Commissioner, SMC,  Syed Abul Qasim, CEO, UDAK, Riyaz Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Yaseen and all Tehsildars besides officers from Housing Board were present in the meeting.
