RAJOURI: Renowned Journalist and Senior Congress Leader from Pir Panjal region, Imran Khan met Former Union Minister and Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad at his residence in New Delhi.
Khan, who was in Delhi to congratulate G.N. Azad on successful completion of his tenure in Rajya Sabha as Leader of Opposition besides offering his good wishes to former leader of opposition Khan extended his congratulations to the veteran leader for having completed a glorious tenure in Rajya sabha during which he upheld the high traditions of a parliamentarian and won accolades from the entire nation and both the houses of representatives including the Prime Minister.
Khan appreciated Azad for having pushed the govt to wall on various public issues boldly and unambiguously during his tenure.
During an hour long meeting with G.N. Azad Imran Khan also discussed various issues and demands of the region related with the development of Pir Panjal like establishing of Hill Development Council, Special Recruitment Drive for the youth of the region and also Improvement of Health and Education Infrastructure , post abrogation effects of statehood in Pir panjal region and similar other issues for the betterment of comman masses.
Imran also apprised Azad about the party position on ground and conveyed the aspirations of the workers from the region to him. Azad listened carefully and assured khan that he will pursue the issues with the concerned quarters on priority. He advised khan to work dedicatedly for the people to solve their problems.
