In yet another instance, at least 13 families were rendered homeless today in Nawa Bazar area of Srinagar where six residential houses were damaged in a massive blaze that broke out in the wee hours of this morning. Most of such incidents are occurring due to short circuits, which result in hardships to the affected families. One fails to understand why people are showing lethargy in curtailing the number of such incidents. Be careful, we must not let our houses gutted in the fire incidents. There is a need to use the electric gadgets and other related items judiciously especially during the winter period. Following precautions is the only way out to prevent such incidents. The modern civilization has left behind the traditional gadgets and is solely dependent on the electronic gadgets, which has proven disastrous to the people several times. It has been observed that the people always blame the concerned Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) for reaching the spot lately and according to them cause huge damage to their property. But, there is a need to understand that the negligence of the people is also one of the major causes behind such incidents, which needs to be prevented forthwith. There is a need to create awareness among the people in this regard to ensure that such incidents are reduced at an earliest.
