DC Srinagar inaugurates Axis Bank Branch, ATM at Baghat Barzulla

SRINAGAR – The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad has stressed on enhancing credit flow by financial institutions to facilitate economic growth and generate employment avenues for the unemployed youth.

The DC said this after inaugurating a new branch of Axis Bank and ATM at Chinar heights, Baghat Barzulla here today.

Regional Branch Banking Head – North, Axis Bank, Satar Ali, Circle Head Panchkula Neeraj Jain, Cluster Head Kashmir, Mohammad Moin Sheikh, Senior Manager Government coverage Group Axis Bank, Aamir Masoodi, Branch Head Axis Bank Baghat, Hilal Ahmad and other concerned were present at the inaugural function.

The DC appreciated the growth and expansion plans of the Bank and bringing the best banking services at the doorsteps of the people in the area.

The DC hoped that the new Branch of Axis Bank will cater to all basic banking transactions, offer the entire spectrum of banking products and financial services covering Retail, Institutional and Consumer lending besides, Large and Mid-Corporates, SME, Agriculture and Retail Businesses.

He also hoped that the Bank will also contribute to the economic upliftment of the youth by providing banking solutions and accessibility to the government sponsored schemes.

On the occasion, it was revealed that the Bank has a large footprint of 4849 domestic branches (including extension counters) with 11,333 ATMs & 5,710 cash recyclers spread across the country. The Bank has 6 Virtual Centres and has over 1500 Virtual Relationship Managers enabling the Bank to reach out to a large cross-section of customers with an array of products and services.

The Bank also has nine overseas offices with branches at Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai (at the DIFC), Shanghai and Colombo; representative offices at Dubai, Abu Dhabi and an overseas subsidiary at London, UK.
