According to the data, police recovered various narcotic and psychotropic substances during the year and simultaneously intensified financial investigations to track proceeds of crime linked to drug trafficking networks.

As part of these financial probes, police froze 208 bank accounts and seized cash amounting to ?25.62 lakh, while an additional ?2.93 lakh was recovered during operations, the data said.

Under provisions related to attachment of proceeds of crime, authorities seized nine movable properties valued at ?0.311 crore and attached 29 immovable properties worth ?40.27 crore. Police also seized 58 vehicles allegedly used in narcotics-related activities.

In addition, 46 individuals were booked under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (PIT-NDPS) Act as a preventive measure against habitual offenders.
