SRINAGAR, APRIL 10 – Chairperson of Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board Dr Syed Darakhshan Andrabi today inaugurated the ‘Indian-Oil Heart-Clinic on Wheels’ in Hall Pulwama. This unique initiative has the collaboration of Gauri Koul Foundation with the Indian Oil Corporation Limited under Corporate Social Responsibility. The prominent persons present on the occasion included Member Parliament Mian Altaf Ahmad, eminent cardiologist of the country & the head of Gauri Koul Foundation Dr Upendra Koul, Arif Akhtar (GM-HR, CSR IOCL), M A Pathan (Formerly CEO IOCL), Dr Zubair Saleem & Businessman Mushtaq Chaya. This launching event was held at an impressive function at Hall hamlet of Pulwama. A large number of local personalities, medicos, civil society representatives were also present. Speaking on the occasion Dr Andrabi congratulated Dr U Kaul & IOC for this nobe initiatives. “Such CSR projects play important role in helping people at the grassroots. On wheels cardiology clinic will be a great boon for the ailing people. We have to think out of box to upgrade and enhance the medical facilities for the people”, said Dr Andrabi. She hailed the efforts of Dr Kaul in helping the patients from his home place out of turn and also for his extensive awareness and rehabilitation initiatives. Dr Andrabi appealed to the local businessmen to enhance their contribution in upgrading our health and education sectors particularly in rural areas.
