SRINAGAR, JANUARY 24 – Authorities have sealed a clinic in the Dara Harwan area of Srinagar following allegations of quackery. Officials confirmed that samples of medicines found at the clinic have been taken for detailed examination.
The action comes in the wake of rising concerns highlighted by the Department of Pediatrics at Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar. The department has observed an alarming increase in cases of Acute Liver Failure (ALF), reportedly linked to unverified treatments administered by unauthorized practitioners.
The Head of the Paediatrics Department has called upon the GMC principal to implement stringent measures to curb such practices and protect public health. This incident underscores the pressing need for vigilance and regulatory enforcement to prevent the misuse of medical practices.
