DC Kathua chairs RTA meeting, approves new road permits

KATHUA, APRIL 06 – Deputy Commissioner, Rahul Pandey chaired a meeting of the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) to discuss matters related to public transport in the district and to sanction route permits.
During the meeting, two applications for All Jammu and Kashmir Contract Carriage permits were approved. The Deputy Commissioner also directed the Public Works Department (PWD) to identify vulnerable points on important roads in the district and submit a Detailed Project Report (DPR) for rectification. Additionally, the Traffic Department was instructed to maintain proper traffic regulation and take action against violators.
The meeting was attended by Regional Transport Officer of Kathua, Sunil Kumar, who is also the Member Secretary of RTA and other concerned officers.
