KISHTWAR, MAR 20 – “Waqf Board now takes decisions at ground zero throughout J&K”: Dr Darakhshan
Chairperson J&K Waqf Board did an extensive tour of Kishtwar district today. During her visit the Chairperson visited both the shrines of Shah Mohammad Farid Ud din Baghdadi (RA) and Shah Mohammad Asrar Ud din Baghdadi (RA) and paid obeisance there. The Chairperson also visited Islamia Faridiya Educational and Research Institute Kishtwar and launched a mobile app (School Bee) for all school going children. Dr Andrabi appreciated the efforts made by the Waqf Board Unit Kishtwar and directed the entire team to shift to the digital working system. The students of Islamia Faridya Hr Sec School and B.Ed students performed in two brief but impressive functions which were presided over by Dr Andrabi.
Besides this the Chairperson also visited Sakhi Shah Zain Ud din Wali (RA) at Rakna Palmar and laid foundation for repair and renovation works for the upgradation of facilities at the Ziyarat. A large number of locals met the Chairperson and raised various issues like beautification of Ziyarat, upgradation of Sakhi Academy and construction of Sarai for Zairean. The Chairperson assured that all genuine demands shall be fulfilled by the Waqf Board. Speaking on the occasion Dr Darakhshan said that Waqf authorities are now continuously working at ground level throughout J&K and for the first time in its history, Waqf Board takes decisions on ground zero and this approach has helped us too in understanding The basic issues at each location. The Chairperson was accompanied by CEO Waqf Dr Syed Majid Jahangir, Administrator Waqf Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, Mudassir Iqbal Administrator Waqf Jammu, DDC Palmar, BDC Palmar besides police and civil Administration.
