DC Kathua reviews ongoing augmentation works of New Bus Stand

KATHUA, MAR 16 – Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review augmentation works undertaken by different department and agencies at New Bus Stand.
At the outset, the DC was apprised by CEO Kathua MC that proper sweeping has been provisioned under which a dedicated team will ensure sweeping at New Bus Stand in morning and evening shifts.
The CEO Kathua MC further informed that proper signages are being installed for proper depiction of amenities and regulation of traffic.
Regarding the issue of proper lighting, CEO Kathua MC disclosed that High Mast Light has been made functional besides all points are properly lit.
The Dy SP HQ Shammi Kumar informed that adequate deployment of Police personnel has been made to ensure proper traffic regulation besides taking care of law and order enforcement.
The XEN PHE disclosed that two Public Supply Points have been installed in New Bus Stand Area catering to the drinking water needs of the public.
The DC directed XEN PWD (R&B) to make DPR of levelling work of Bus Stand area so that same can be projected for funds from concerned authorities.
The meeting deliberated on the issues of CCTV Surveillance, Passenger Facilitation System/LED Display Panels which are to be ensured by roping in Industries under CSR.
The meeting was attended by CPO Kathua, GM DIC, XEN PWD Kathua, XEN PDD and other concerned officers.
