The departments, including ICDS, Social Welfare, School Education, Polytechnic, ITI, Industries, Banks, Youth Services and Sports, KVIB, JKEDI, JKRLM, Employment & Counseling Centre, DUDA, Himayat etc, were directed to undertake proper hand-holding of all eligible beneficiaries from the families of Displaced Persons of PoJK. Regarding the conduct of Special Youth Awareness Camp by District Administration during LG’s Governance Camp, the DC impressed upon the officers to showcase the success stories of the beneficiaries during the camp. This is so that the youth can get inspired by their success and avail self-employment opportunities being offered under different departmental schemes and programmes of UT of JK and Government of India.

The DC directed ACR Kathua to organise camps at block level in concurrence with Block Diwas so that maximum benefits can be extended to target groups, i.e., DPs of PoJK, who are widely spread in the district.

Various officers attended the meeting, including PO, ICDS, CPO Kathua Uttam Singh, the District Social Welfare Officer, AD DECC, ARTO, LDM and other concerned officers.

Pertinently, the government is organizing Awareness Camps under the title “LG’s Special Governance Camp for POJK Displaced Persons” at different locations of Jammu province. This is to provide them with various facilities of different schemes provided by the Central and the UT Government.

During the camp, several government departments will register and saturate the Displaced Persons of PoJK under various schemes and programmes being implemented by the Government.
