SRINAGAR, MAR 08 – Madr-e-Meharban Institute of Nursing Science & Research SKIMS Celebrated Women’s International Day today with focus on this year’s theme ” Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality”. The participants deliberated on various aspects of the theme.
Director SKIMS & EOSG Prof. Parvaiz A. Koul graced the occasion as Chief Guest. In his address he said that this event is celebrated across the globe to celebrate and acknowledge the role of woman in various spheres of life.” Woman is outshining in many man dominated areas and is proving herself at every level. There are many top woman achievers in many fields” , he added. He further said technology has a huge potential which needs to be further explored for greater gender equity.
Prof. Koul congratulated the College for organising the event and assured full support of administration for smooth functioning of the institution.
Dean Medical Faculty SKIMS Prof. Bashir A. Laway , Medical Superintendent SKIMS, Dr. Farooq A Jan, Principal of the Nursing College, Mrs. Muneera Kachroo also spoke on the occasion.
The event was attended by students & faculty of the college.
