KUPWARA, MAR 05 – On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Dr.Doifode Sagar Dattatray, two awareness cum registration programmes were held at Kupwara and Tangdhar today.
These awareness and mapping programs were held on Accelerating Livelihood Generation programme of Mission youth in collaboration with labour and employment department, Rural development department, EDI, J&K Bank , KVIB, DIC, Horticulture department, Agriculture Department, and sheep and animal Husbandry department.
At both the venues, a large number of youth from Tangdar, Teetwal , Hayhama, Kupwara, Kalaroos, Sogam, Wavoora, Nutnoosa, Drugmulla and other adjoining areas participated and got themselves registered and subsequently mapped under relevant programmes of mission youth under the supervision of officers of District employment & counseling centre Kupwara, District industries centre Kupwara and concerned BDOs.
Meanwhile a mega employment mela cum Awareness camp is being held at Town Hall Kupwara on March 6.
More such awareness programmes will be organised by district administration Kupwara under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan- crusade against Narco terrorism and green initiative from March 7 to March 21.
Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan- crusade against Narco Terrorism, youth volunteers shall conduct meetings with PRIs ,teachers, parents, at Panchayat level and inform them about I’ll effects of drug menace and steps of district administration to get rid of this menace.
Under Green initiative on, March 21 , Afforestation drive will be held in all the panchayats across the district Kupwara where DFO kamraj, DFO Kehmil, DFO Langate , DFO social forestry and DFO soil conservation in collaboration with RDD,higher education department, School education department, will plant saplings and take part in plantation drives.
Deputy commissioner Kupwara, Dr. Doifode Sagar Dattatray has asked the intrested unemployed youth to take part in these programmes and get themselves registered for different programmes of livelihood generation.
