DC Kathua reviews progress of Education sector works

KATHUA, FEB 13: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today reviewed the progress of different works of the Education Sector here at a meeting held here in the DC office complex.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Kathua Uttam Singh, CEO Kathua, P.L Thapa, XEN REW, XEN PWD Kathua, XEN PWD Basohli, ZEOs and other concerned officers.

At the outset, the DC took appraisal of action taken with regard to issues discussed in earlier meetings viz. physical verification of schools regarding Assured Minimum Facilities, schools without electricity connection, boundary wall, toilet facility, drinking water facility etc.

The DC directed the CEO Kathua to ensure installation of Biometric Attendance System in all the schools, besides making available Assured Minimum Facilities in all the left out schools.

 The DC also took a detailed review of ongoing works taken under Capex by PWD(R&B), PDD, REW, SAMAGRA and directed the concerned executing agencies to complete the works in a given time frame.

The DC further laid thrust on ensuring installation of barbed wires in schools without boundary thereby providing security and safety to the school staff and students.

The DC also called upon executive agencies to ensure quality asset creation in all the schools besides impressing upon ZEOs concerned to regularly monitor the execution of works so as to ensure that quality assets are created.
