Kathua Admin retrieves 12751 Kanal State Land, 1132 Kanal of Kacharai land under ongoing anti-encroachment drives

 KATHUA, JAN 20 – Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of Revenue officers to review the performance of the Revenue Department here in the Conference Hall of the DC office complex.

 At the outset, the DC took detailed review of the ongoing anti-encroachment drives being carried out by the district administration across the district. He laid emphasis on furnishing daily reports regarding removal of encroachments for apprising the higher authorities about the progress.

It was informed that 12751 Kanal State Land and 1132 Kanal of Kacharai land have been retrieved across the district in the ongoing anti-encroachment drives.

 The DC also discussed at length the progress made under updating and digitisation of jamabandies, digitisation of cadastral maps, delineation of land records, generation of land passbooks, status of eviction of Roshni land, land acquisition cases, change of land use cases. Thrust was laid on regular monitoring and reporting, besides furnishing action taken reports at the district headquarters.

 While stressing on the need to speed up the pace of digitisation of revenue records, the DC impressed upon the revenue officers to put in best efforts to complete the assigned task within set timelines.

 The DC also took a detailed review of the status of the online services offered by the Revenue Department, while calling for ensuring delivery of services within the prescribed time frame.

 Regarding the Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS), the DC stressed upon revenue officers to dispose of the pending matters on priority, besides uploading the updated status on the prescribed portal regularly.

 On the issue of vacant posts of Numberdars and Chowkidars, the DC called for taking up the process within laid down procedure in a time bound manner.

 ADC Basohli, ADC Billawar, SDM Hiranagar, SDM Bani( virtually) ADC Kathua, ACR Kathua,   Tehsildars and other Revenue Officers attended the meeting.
