DC Kathua takes appraisal of Revenue Department

KATHUA, JAN 16 – Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of Revenue officers to discuss revenue matters here in the Conference Hall of the DC office complex.

At the outset, the DC took detailed review of the anti-encroachment drives being carried out by the district administration. He laid emphasis on strict execution of the eviction plan and furnishing of the report regarding removal of encroachments on a daily basis for apprising the higher authorities about the progress.

While reviewing the status of SWAMITVA scheme, the DC exhorted upon the revenue officials to speed up the mapping process of the revenue villages besides expediting the digitization process of revenue records within the set timelines.

Taking serious view of the delay in disposing of cases under PSGA, the DC called for taking stringent action against the defaulting officers besides ensuring speedy disposal of applications under PSGA thereby improving the public service delivery by making the system efficient and effective.

Regarding the Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS), the DC stressed upon revenue officers to dispose of the pending matters on priority besides uploading their updated status on the prescribed portal regularly.

The meeting also discussed other revenue mattes  at length viz updating and digitization of jamabandies, digitization of cadastral maps, delineation of land records, generation of land passbooks, status of eviction of Roshni land, land acquisition cases, change of land use cases, wherein thrust was laid on regular monitoring and reporting besides furnishing of action taken reports at the district headquarters.

Earlier, the DC chaired a meeting for Change of Land Use (CLU) wherein the meeting approved 11 Cases. The DC called upon the officers to ensure fulfilment of deficient applications so as to put up before the committee for subsequent consideration.

ADC Kathua, ADC Basohli, ADC Billawar, ACR Kathua, SDM Hiranagar, SDM Bani, Tehsildars and other Revenue Officers attended the meeting.
