DDC Member Bani, Reeta Thakur; DDC Member Lohai Malhar, Kishore Kumar; General Manager JKRTC Shoukat Ahmed, besides RTO, Traffic Manager, Depot Manager and other concerned were also present.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that JKRTC Bus services have been started to augment the transport facility for the public in remote areas of Dhaggar and Badnota.

The DC said that JKRTC bus service will be highly beneficial for the general public especially of hilly areas of Billawar and Bani who otherwise have to rely on private means of transport which is expensive and not readily available.

The GM JKRTC said the bus services will not only facilitate the transport facility to the public but will also ensure comfortable travel as these buses are semi-deluxe and more comfortable than conventional buses. He further informed that bus service from Jammu-Billawar-Delhi via Dayala Chack has been restored recently which will provide the long route transportation facility for the inhabitants of Billawar sub division.

Pertinently, the Bus Service from Jammu-Kathua-Dhaggar via Lakhanpur-Mahanpur-Basohli-Bhoond-Bani (Departure from Jammu 07:30am) has been restored, while Bus Service on new route Jammu-Badnota via Dyalachack-Billawar-Machhedi (Departure from Jammu 08:00am) has also commenced today providing daily service.
