DC Kathua reviews progress of PHE sector projects

KATHUA, JAN 03 – Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey today reviewed the progress achieved under the PHE sector including implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission in the district here at a meeting of concerned officers.

Superintending Engineer Hydraulic, Sanjeev Malhotra apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the latest financial and physical progress achieved under Jal Jeevan Mission in the district.

The DC took a comprehensive review of the physical and financial progress of PHE sectors schemes under UT, District CAPEX, DDC, BDC and PRI grants etc and directed the department to complete the projects within given timelines.

The DC directed the XENs to prioritise works belonging to higher reaches keeping in view the cold weather season which may hamper or affect the execution of work.

The DC also took a detailed review of all ongoing projects under Ground Water, Irrigation, and Flood Control and laid thrust on completing the same within the stipulated time frame.

The DC directed for the constitution of Joint Teams of PHE & Forest Departments for conducting sub-division wise survey for forest clearance. He also directed DFO Basohli and Kathua to ensure a hassle free survey within fifteen days.

XEN PHE, Vikram Dogra, Engineers of Irrigation, Flood Control, Ground Water, Civil, Mechanical and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
