DDC B’la reviews progress of Development Works under R&B Sector

BARAMULLA, DEC 22 – The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish today convened a meeting of officers here to review the progress of works being executed under R&B Sector.

The concerned functionaries of R&B Department gave sector wise briefing of different works and presented in-depth details of the progress of developmental projects in the district.

On the occasion, Superintendenting Engineer R&B Baramulla appraised the chair with regard to progress of various works undertaken in the district under R&B Sector.

He appraised the DDC that under Area Development programme 2022-23, 150 works were taken up with an estimated cost of Rs. 8.91 crores, wherein 74 works stand completed with an expenditure of Rs. 3.88 lacs whereas the rest of works under are progress.

He also informed that 47 works were taken up in which 17 stands completed with an expenditure of Rs. 5.30 crores under NABARD Schemes.

It was also given out that 288 Kms (both main and inner links) have been macadamized under CNT scheme during the current year for which a total of Rs. 22 Crores expenditure has been incurred besides patching of various roads have been taken up wherein 74kms stands covered with an expenditure of Rs.10 crores.

Dr Sehrish also discussed various other development related issues threadbare with the concerned officers and stressed for full achievements of the targets fixed under the District as well as State Plan and timely disposal of the issues of public importance.

The DDC further directed the officers to work in coordinated manner with line departments to achieve development goals well in time keeping in view the limited working season.

Joint Director Planning, M Yousuf Rather, Officers of R&B, Health, besides District and Sectoral officers of all the departments were present in the meeting.
