DC Kathua reviews progress of PWD (R&B), JKPCC and PMGSY projects

 KATHUA, DEC 17 – Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Pandey chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of projects being executed by PWD (R&B), JKPCC and PMGSY departments, held here in the DC Office Complex.

Reviewing the works taken up by PWD under different UT & District CAPEX, CRF, NABARD, City & Town, Languishing scheme etc, the DC directed XENs of Kathua and Basohli divisions to lay special focus on projects lagging behind time besides  achieving physical and financial progress of all the projects before the cut off timeline of December 2022.

The DC also reviewed the progress of works taken up under PMGSY divisions of Kathua and Billawar. He directed the respective XENs to pace up the speed of works, especially the projects connecting rural habitations in hilly areas.

Inquiring about the works awaiting funding in lieu of utility shifting, the DC directed concerned departments to clear the liabilities to pace up the projects and to meet timelines.

The DC also directed XEN JKPCC to clear the bottlenecks, if any, to expedite the construction of Juthana Bridge.

Regarding the projects awaiting forest clearances, the DC directed the stakeholder departments to process the necessary clearance through Parivesh Portal. He further directed the DFOs to speed up the process of clearing the cases having met all prerequisites.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Engineers of PWD Div Kathua, Basohli, XEN PMGSY Div Billawar, Kathua DFOs and other district officers.
