DC Kathua reviews progress of mega projects being executed by PWD, JKPCC, PMGSY

KATHUA, NOV 17 – Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of works being executed by PWD (R&B) JKPCC and PMGSY departments under different schemes.

During the meeting, the DC reviewed the progress of works taken up under different schemes viz UT & District CAPEX, CRF, NABARD, City & Town, Languishing etc. and directed the concerned to expedite the completion of pending schemes within set timelines.

The DC directed the executing  to pace up the speed to to achieve maximum target works within stipulated time

On the issue of projects stalled due to disputes and other issues, the DC called upon the executing departments to visit such sites along with Revenue functionaries on next Block Diwas and take the stakeholders on board for amicable solutions.

Regarding the projects awaiting forest clearances, the DC directed DFO concerned to speed up the process of clearing the cases having met all prerequisites.

The DC impressed upon the concerned officer to execute utility shifting work and also laid thrust on ensuring early tendering and allotment of all identified works.

Taking serious note of the undue delay on part of the contractors in executing the assigned works, the DC directed executing departments to submit the action taken report against such erring contractors.

The meeting was attended by CPO, Engineers of PWD Div Kathua, Basohli, CEO, XEN PMGSY Div Billawar, Kathua DFOs and other district officers.
