BARAMULLA, NOV 11 – To review the functioning of Revenue Department and ensure efficient and prompt public service delivery in the district, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar today chaired a meeting of the Revenue Department at DC Office, here.

The meeting held threadbare deliberations on various Revenue related matters including, writing of Jamabandies, recovery fee, progress under preparation of digitization, redressal of grievances, etc.

At the outset, the DC was given a detailed account of the different Revenue related matters of the district.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that updation of Revenue records is a core work of Revenue department and is also a basic requirement of every household for which coordinated team work is key to achieve set targets in a time bound manner.

She asked Tehsildars to further improve the public service delivery system at their respective Tehsil Offices. She also asked them to activate their field staff to keep proper check and vigil on any kind of encroachments in respective jurisdiction while directing them to intensify anti-encroachment drives.

Moreover, the DC instructed all Tehsildars to ensure quality disposal of all online/offline Grievances in a time bound manner.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Zahoor Ahmad Raina, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parveez Sajad, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Peerzada Mumtaz Ahmad, SDM Uri, SDM Pattan besides all Tehsildars of the district attended the meeting.
