DC Udhampur conducts public outreach cum grievances redress camp at GHSS Rang

UDHAMPUR – To take the governance to the people’s doorstep and to redress their grievances, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna today conducted public outreach cum grievances redressal camp here at Government Higher Secondary School Rang of Block Parlidhar under the aegis of Weekly Block Diwas programme.

BDC Chairman, Parlidhar, Neelam Devi; DDC Councillor Ramnagar-1 Mool Raj; ADDC, Anu Behl; SDM, Ramnagar, Gopal Singh,  Sarpanches, Panches and a large number of people from adjoining Panchayats of the Block attended the outreach camp  and projected  several issues and  demands. They demanded maintenance of  roads, meeting shortage of staff in RDD, Education and Health institutions, Providing additional accommodation in schools, appointment of BDO at Parlidhar, augmentation of drinking water supply, measures to curb Monkey menace in the area, Opening of Anganwadi centre, Construction of cremation Ghat shed, Blacktopping of the roads etc.

After listening to the issues and demands of the PRIs and general public of the area, the DC directed concerned officers to mitigate the sufferings of the people on priority basis.

Stating that the objective of holding such public grievance redressal camps was to get a close and direct insight into the problems being faced by the people of rural pockets for their early redressal, the DC also made the people aware about various Government schemes. The DC directed the officers of different departments to organize awareness camps in their respective areas and to inform the general public about the government schemes so that they can avail maximum benefits. The DC also said the administration was keen to provide better infrastructure in rural areas.
