GUREZ – BJP National Executive Member & party Spokesperson, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today concluded her three day Public Outreach Programme held in connection with 8 years of Modi government. Dr Andrabi addressed Party workers and discussed public issues and the role of party cadres in making people aware about the welfare schemes of government in remotest corners of Gurez valley and emphasized them to facilitate the people in getting the benefits of all existing schemes. Dr Andrabi convened a meeting of local administration including officers from all departments to review the public welfare measures & programmes of the government at the grass root level. She stressed upon the need for administrative outreach after this political outreach of hers. “This area has been left to backwardness for seven decades by the earlier regimes but now things have to change. No bureaucratic laxity will be tolerated. We all are for the people and any officer who fails to serve people will be put to task,” said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi. She said that despite being represented for decades by the ruling party members, this area has remained so backward that one feels ashamed of the political exploiters,” said Dr Darakhshan. She assured the people that she will return to this area after a couple of months to assess the progress on grievance redressal by local administration. “The Education, Jalshakti and Roads & Buildings Department have to focus on providing basic amenities to the people of Gurez on priority to realize the dream of Antodaya envisioned by PM Narendra Modi during the past eight years,” said Andrabi.
