DC Srinagar inaugurates new Middle School Building with smart classroom facility at Danihama

Building Completed under District Capex at an estimated cost of Rs.72 lacs

SRINAGAR – The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today inaugurated the new building of Government Middle School (GMS) having smart classroom facility at Danihama in Tehsil North of the District.

The 9 room 3-story school building for smart class rooms has been completed at a cost of Rs 72.0 lacs and also comprises facilities including library and Computer Lab.

During interaction with Staff and Students, the DC assured that the school building shall be highly equipped with latest facilities to provide modern education facilities to the students living in far flung area of the District.

The DC appreciated the students and assured to fulfil all the demands of the School on priority basis.

On the occasion, the students presented colorful cultural programs.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the DC said that education is the primary requirement of development and prosperity and the education sector has remained a high priority of the LG Administration in order to universalise School education, especially living in rural and hilly areas.

He asked local people to ensure that no child is out of school and investment in Education shall make children responsible, cultured and civilized citizens.

Chief Education Officer, Srinagar, Manzoor Ahmad Kumar, Executive  Engineer R&B,  Nayeem Bakshi, Tehsildar North, Kaiser Ahmad, besides  Zonal Education Officer, Headmaster, Middle School,  Danihama and large number of locals were present on the occasion.
