Arrangements for International Yoga Day discussed at Kathua

KATHUA – Deputy Commissioner, Kathua Rahul Pandey today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the arrangements for “International Day of Yoga” being observed on June 21, 2022 across the Globe.

It was decided that the main event would be organized at Sports Stadium Kathua where arrangements for a mega Yoga session will be made to commemorate the day.

During the meeting, the DC called for inter-departmental coordination, besides ensuring mass participation of people from all walks of life for the success of the event.

During the meeting, the DC directed the department of AYUSH to depute the Yoga instructors, while the Health department was asked to ensure participation of trainees and staff along with deployment of Ambulance.

The concerned stakeholder departments were asked to make all the necessary arrangements.

The Police department was asked to make provision of security especially at the Parking facilities, the Education Department will ensure the participation of students  involving NSS/NCC volunteers, ITI and B.Ed colleges. Other departments viz PHE, ICDS, were directed to look after the water arrangements and public mobilization respectively, besides cleanliness and wide publicity of the event were to be ensured by the Municipality and Information department.

Members of social organizations like Art of Living, Patanjali and Yoga enthusiasts assured full cooperation to the administration by helping in wide publicity and providing other logistic support for the success of the event.

ADC, CEO, Medical Officers, Executive Engineers, Officers of Police Training School, CEO Municipality, DYSSO, representatives of Government and Private colleges, Patanjali, Art of living were also present on the occasion.
