Assistant Professor from KU’s IoT bags prestigious NUS Post-Doctoral Fellowship

SRINAGAR – An Assistant Professor from Kashmir University’s Institute of Technology (IoT) Zakura Campus has bagged a prestigious Postdoctoral Research Fellowship from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). 
Dr Ikhlaq Hussain,  Coordinator in the Department of Electrical Engineering at IoT,
will work in the area of the development of “AI-IoT-Enabled Energy Storage System (ESS) and Digital Solution”, which will be useful in several applications such as marine industry, electric vehicles, smart-grid, smart-city, carbon content reduction (greenhouse effect) etc.
NUS has been consistently ranked as  one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the world.
Dr Ikhlaq Hussain received his M.Tech. (Gold Medalist) in Electrical Power System Management from Jamia Millia Islamia in 2012 and PhD in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 2018.
He joined IoT as Assistant Professor in 2017 and his areas of research interests include power electronics, power quality, custom power devices, renewable energy systems, power system management and microgrid.
Dr Hussain has featured twice in Stanford University’s top scientist rankings which commenced from 2019.
Dr Ikhlaq said the experience gained from this project will be very helpful to develop new edge solution for the nation as well as for the Kashmir University.
