SRINAGAR – An earthquake measuring 5.7 on Richter scale was felt across Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday morning.
The tremors lasting for several seconds were reportedly felt at around 9:46 AM.
Citing an independent source GFZ (German Research Centre for Geosciences), ‘Kashmir Weather’ reported that an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 with epicenter 71.16°E 36.48°N (Afghanistan-Tajikistan Border Region) at a depth of 206 kilometers occurred at 9:46:01 a.m.
No loss to life or property has however been reported from anywhere.
