SRINAGAR – As a part of the culture of Kashmir, the facsimile of the wood carved houseboat was exhibited at the current Dubai Festival 2020 which is expected to last until the end of March this year.
The replica of the houseboat besides securing a place in the global exhibition earned a multitude of visitors across the world including the princely Sheikhs of Dubai. The houseboat provoked the creative senses of the visitors who craved to know more about the hospitality of this floating luxury of Kashmir.
M/S VENOOS – the manufacturer of the walnut-wood furniture at Dadi Kadal, Tankipora, Srinagar has crafted the replica of the houseboat that has been displayed at the festival. This enterprise is known for its craftsmanship that produces fine furniture across the valley. The houseboat has been craved as an indisputable copy of the houseboats in Kashmir.
“This has emerged as a rocking attraction for the attention of all visitors. JK pavilion although has other digital attractions as well in the form of Tourism, Culture, and Cuisine. Director Industries Kashmir, Mehmood Ahmad Shah, who is also a Nodal Officer for this International festival, has expressed his contentment over maintaining a successful and an effectual exhibition of the heritage of Kashmir that has comprised of the Tourism, Culture, and Cuisine together in the exhibition. Mehmood Shah has hoped that the endeavor will attract the expected number of approaches from the target market.
In the meantime, the exhibition of Kashmiri heritage has received valley recognition at an international podium
