SRINAGAR – Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Friday said that the Suhail Rather one among the three slain militants of Jaish-i-Muhammad outfit was involved in Zewan militant bus attack.
In a tweet while quoting IGP Kashmir, the Kashmir Police Zone wrote on its official Twitter handle, “One of the killed militants has been identified as Suhail Ahmad Rather of militant outfit JeM. As revealed during yesterday’s PC, militant Suhail was also involved in ZewanMilitantAttack. All militants involved in Zewan attack have been neutralised: IGP Kashmir,”.
Meanwhile JeM outfit lost its 9 men in just 24 hours in three different encounters in Valley.
Earlier in wee hours gunfight broke out between militants and security forces in Panthachowk. In intial exchange of fire, three cops and a CRPF trooper were also injured.
