SRINAGAR – PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti on Saturday said that RSS and BJP wants to pit people against each other by using communalism and have hijacked Hindutva and Hinduism.
Mehbooba Mufti said that BJP and RSS have hijacked Hindutva and Hinduism in the name of their parties and want people to stand against each other in the country by using communalism.
“They have hijacked Hindutva, they have hijacked Hinduism in the name of their parties. They feel Hinduism and Hindutva are BJP and RSS but that is not the case,” said Mehbooba Mufti.
She also said that the lessons which BJP and RSS wants to teach reflects neither Hindutva nor Hinduism.
Responding to a question from a reporter whether the two parties can be compared with ISIS, Mehbooba Mufti said, “Yes, communal parties can be compared for sure. Communal parties — which want Hindu-Muslims to fight with each other, do lynching — can be compared with ISIS and even with others because both of them kill people in the name of religion.
