DC Jammu reviews status of grievances disposal, assessment of crop damage

JAMMU NOVEMBER 01: Deputy Commissioner Anshul Garg today reviewed the status of disposal of public grievances pertaining to the Revenue department and assessment of the damage of crops in the recent hailstorm, here at a meeting.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, L&O Ghanshyam Singh; ACR Vijay Kumar Sharma; District Informatics Officers Sanjay Gupta; ACG Rakesh Dubey; SDMs, Tehsildars besides other officers of the concerned department were present in the meeting.

The concerned officers apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the pending and resolved grievances by the revenue department.

Expressing concern over the slow rate of disposal, the Deputy Commissioner set a 15 day deadline for disposal of complaints from the time of its posted. He also emphasized upon daily disposal of the grievances in order to reduce pendency.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officers to gear up their men and machinery and work in synergy with other departments in order to get the redressals of the grievances in a time bound manner.

Later, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the process of assessment and disbursement of compensation for damaged crops to the farmers.

The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers from Agriculture and Revenue departments to expedite the process to provide early relief to the affected farmers.

He asked for joint assessment by Agriculture and Revenue departments to ensure that no eligible farmer is left behind and everyone is compensated.
