53 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death Reported In J&K

7 Districts achieve 100% first dose vaccine coverage: Officials

SRINAGAR – Jammu and Kashmir registered 53 new positive cases even as there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.

Among the fresh cases, nine were reported from Jammu Division and 44 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 330586.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 22 cases, Baramulla 5, Budgam 8, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 6, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 2, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 4, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 4, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include cases include male (25) from Railway Colony, female (58) from Nigeen Ashi Bagh Srg, female (31) from Bemina Iqbalabad, male (32) from Habak Naseembagh, female (26) from Chanapora Srg, male (30) from Aalikadal, two males (53, 54) from Lal Bazar, male (45) from Khanyar, male (75) from Bemina and male (38) from Lal Bazar.

Moreover, the officials said that 95 more patients have recovered—10 from Jammu Division and 85 from Kashmir. So far 325111 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1049—281 in Jammu and 768 in Kashmir.

They said, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 47 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. The government also informed that 1, 38,779 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. It informed that seven Districts— Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Samba, Anantnag, Shopian, Budgam have achieved 100% first dose vaccine coverage.
