Vivek Bhardwaj chairs maiden meet of H&ME Department

SRINAGAR – Additional Chief Secretary (Financial Commissioner), Health and Medical Education, Vivek Bhardwaj today chaired a meeting with the officers at Civil Secretariat here to review the functioning of the department.

He reviewed the working of the various sections of the department including Accounts, Planning, Legal, Human Resource. During the meeting Vivek Bhardwaj was given section wise briefing of different works and presented in depth details about the functioning of the various arms of the department.

The important agenda points discussed during the meeting were human resource management, revenue budget 2021-22, staff strength of the department, regularization, study leave of medical officers besides other issues. He also reviewed the functioning of various medical colleges, Unani and Ayurvedic medical colleges and other health institutions including primary health centres, NTPHCs, sub centres.

Vivek Bhardwaj took brief from every officer about the pressing issues faced by the concerned section. He also sought suggestions from the officers to find ways and means to resolve those issues and asked them to work in close coordination and with dedication.

He also directed the officers to resolve the issues of the employees and directed them to remain sensitive to the issues of the employees. He also said that people-first approach should be the policy of the department.

During the meeting, Vivek Bhardwaj was apprised of the progress made by  Jammu and Kashmir on various health indicators and was informed that JK fared much better as compared to the national average. He expressed his satisfaction over the various health indicators and advised the officers to work with more zeal and enthusiasm and continue with this endeavor in a much more proactive and synchronized way.

He was informed about the new posts that are being referred to PSC for recruitment for furthering staff strength. He was also informed about reducing the regulatory compliance burden by way of making various services through online mode.

During the meeting he also reviewed  functioning of  medical colleges and put forward various measures in adopting to the latest trends and technology in the medical field.

While reviewing the functioning of the department, Additional Chief Secretary impressed upon the officers to work with honesty and dedication and serve the people in a much better way.
