DC Gbl reviews progress of works under District Capex Budget

GANDERBAL – The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today reviewed the ongoing/new works proposed under District Capex Budget 2021-22 including DDC, BDC, PRI grants.

The meeting discussed detailed proposals under the District Capex Plan, 2021-22 including physical status of projects targeted for completion in the current fiscal and took a comprehensive review on the progress of developmental projects undertaken by Rural Development, Health, JKPDCL, R&B, Jal Shakti department and other sectors.

The DC sought details about the approved works in the last and current Financial year and was informed that under regular schemes 146 works are approved including ongoing and new works besides 1452 works of PRIs, 111 works of BDCs and 543 works of DDCs.

The concerned officers apprised the chair regarding the status of works approved under DDC, BDC and PRI components.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion.  He also cautioned that any kind of laxity in completing the works within a set time line will not be tolerated at all.

The DC exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame and urged to ensure all developmental works are monitored regularly by way of carrying out field visits.

Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks hindering the completion of projects were also highlighted by the concerned officers and sought the speedy disposal of these issues.

Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, Pir Muzafar Ahmad, Chief Planning Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development, Assistant Executive Engineers of various wings and other concerned.
