DC Reasi reviews progress on development projects

REASI – Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Charandeep Singh today chaired a meeting to review the progress of various ongoing development projects in the district.

The meeting was attended by ADDC, Jyoti Salathia; CPO, Sunita Kanchan; AD Neeraj; SE R&B Shakti Sagar; DGM Pankaj Sawhney; XEN PWD Reasi Janak Raj; XEN R&B Arvind Gupta; XEN PMGSY Gh. Rasool and other officers.

  The meeting held threadbare deliberations on different ongoing projects including 500 seated Auditorium complex at DC office, 110 metre long Anji bridge at Kyala , Government Degree College at Bhaga, Mahore. It was apprised by the executing agencies that projects are likely to be completed within next 2 months.

The meeting was informed that are 131 road projects are being executed under PMGSY, while out of 50 projects being executed by R&B, 15 are near completion. Similarly,  out of 10 works being executed by JKPCC , 5 are near completion.

 The DC directed PWD and PMGSY Engineers to expedite the pace of construction of the roads including timely completion of BT and Earth work.

While taking stock of various projects held up due to forest clearances, court case hearings, land compensation including issues related to allocation of work to contractors, the DC stressed upon the officers to work with added zeal and in coordinated manner so that the bottlenecks, if any, could be removed.
