SRINAGAR – Artists of Cultural Unit Kashmir, Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) today mesmerised the audience with some popular numbers at the Closing ceremony of 15 day long Craft Mela here.
The 15 day long Craft Mela was organised by Department of Handicrafts and Handloom Kashmir.
On the occasion, many renowned artists of Cultural Unit Kashmir, DIPR performed on stage and enthralled the crowd with their mesmerising performances.
Besides, young artists of the valley enthralled visitors with various traditional folk items, chakri, light music , qawwali and sufiana items. The response of the crowd was equally good which is indicative of people’s love for music.
The crowd was impressed by the quality of performances and the zeal of artists to showcase themselves.
Cultural Officer Kashmir, Tawheed Ahmad said that the Cultural programmes will be organised throughout the valley in coming days and youth will be given the platform to showcase their artistic skills.
AECO Syed Shakeel Shan said that adopting various traditional arts by our youth is an encouraging trend. Besides reviving the rich traditional folklore, Kashmiri young artists are becoming popular on social media.
