J&K Reports 280 Covid-19 Cases, 4 Deaths

Srinagar – Jammu and Kashmir reported 280 new covid-19 cases while four more persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

They said 131 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 149 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 317761.

Regarding the fatalities, they said, three were reported from Jammu division and one from Kashmir Valley, taking the fatality count to 4349.

Providing the district-wide details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 49 cases, Baramulla 8, Budgam 16, Pulwama 12, Kupwara 17, Anantnag 13, Bandipora 7, Ganderbal 16, Kulgam 10, Shopian 1, Jammu 18, Udhampur 6, Rajouri 8, Doda 36, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 6, Poonch 2, Ramban 5 and Reasi 49.

Moreover, they said, 419 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—197 from Jammu Division and 222 from Kashmir. So far 309973 patients have recovered, leaving active cases at 3439—1509 in Jammu and 1930 in Kashmir.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained 30 in J&K.

A number of the fresh covid-19 cases were confirmed at diagnostic labouratories of CD hospital here and GMC Anantnag.

The CD cases include female (19) Wasoora Pul, male (50) from Sangerwani, two males (48, 51) and female (55) from Noorpora, male (68) from Shaldraman, female (18) from Kawadara, two males (54, 21) from Bemina, male (30) from Shinglipora, male (43) from Pinglena, female (25) from Kupwara, male (60) from Malabagh, two males (45, 45) from Habak, male (55) from SP Office, male (30) from Harwan Dara, male (NA) from Brein, female (60) from Barzulla, female (31) from Sanatnagar, male (36) from Alochibagh, female (45) from Batmaloo, male (40) from S K Colony Qamarwari, male (60) from Kulgam, male (40) from Eidgah, male (82) from Safakadal, female (20) from Kangan, female (41) from Zadibal, female (60) from Lal Bazar, female (6) from Nowshera, female (37) and male (10) from Kanitar, male (53) from Baghat I shor, female (65) from Chattabal, male (90) from Shopian, female (20) from Fatehkadal, male (50) from Zainakadal and female (85) from Karfali Mohalla.

The GMC Anantnag cases include female (25) from Yaripora, male (39) from Monchewa, female (40) from Hangalbush, female (55) from Khanpora, male (40) from Katapora, two females (5, 50) from Adapora, female (30) from Ashmuji, male (30) from Kund, male (61) from Achabal Ang, male (20) from Khawaja Mir Ali Ang, two females (25, 24) from Khanabal Ang, female (14) from Soaf Shali, male (58) from Uranhall Bij, female (60) from Guree Bij, female (40) from Mattan Ang, female (30) from Ang and male (50) from Rakhi Brah.
