J&K Reports 231 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 2 Deaths

Srinagar – Jammu and Kashmir reported 231 new covid-19 cases while two more persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

They said 83 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 169 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 317481.

Regarding the fatalities, they said, one death each has been reported from Jammu division and Kashmir Valley respectively, taking the fatality count to 4345.

Providing the district-wide details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 63 cases, Baramulla 9, Budgam 14, Pulwama 30, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 6, Bandipora 6, Ganderbal 6, Kulgam 10, Shopian 1, Jammu 15, Udhampur 10, Rajouri 6, Doda 21, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 10, Poonch 10, Ramban 4 and Reasi 7.

Moreover, they said, 421 more COVID-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours—169 from Jammu Division and 252 from Kashmir. So far 309554 patients have recovered, leaving active cases at 3582—1578 in Jammu and 2004 in Kashmir.

There was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today and thus the cumulative number of confirmed cases remained to 30 in J&K.

A number of these cases were confirmed at diagnostic laboratory of SKIMS and include two troopers—male (30) from 56 RR Machil Kupwara, male (48) from 57RR Pyarpura Kupwara besides female (24) from Nowpora Bandipora, male (24) from Watapira Bandipora, female (27) from from SK Bala Bandipora, male (35) from Ajas, male (45) from Sadunara Bandipora, female (08) from Banagund Budgam, female (35) from Nagam Budgam, male (80) from Chrarishareef Budgam, female (30) from Beerwah Budgam, female (55) from Beerwah Budgam, female (40) from Budgam, male (44) from Slum area Durbal Budgam, female (12) from Slum area Durbal Budgam, male (35) from Slum area Durbal Budgam, male (06) from Slum area Durbal Budgam, male (27) from Slum area Durbal Budgam, male (60) from Narbal Budgam, female (65) from Gumboora Budgam, male (42) from Razwan Budgam, male (33) from F16 Brick kiln kanir Budgam, male (20) from F16 Brick kiln Kanir Budgam, female (30) from Hariganiwan Kangan ganderbal, female (29) from Kachnambal Kangan, male (23) from Batapora Safapora ganderbal, male (20) from Narang ganderbal, female (20) from Kangan ganderbal, female (20) from Wangath ganderbal, female (35) from Kangan, male (35) from Sanatnagar Sgr, male (29) from Budgam, male (72) from Duderhama Ganderbal, male (70) from Banghai Rajouri and female (13) from Baramulla.
