The Divisional Commissioner took a thorough review of the immediate issues related to the management of Covid-19 positive patients, functioning of Covid triage facility at CD Hospital Jammu and referral of patients to GMC and other designated Covid hospitals etc.

Threadbare discussions were held regarding various corrective steps that need to be taken for the better covid management and containment measures.

The Divisional Commissioner emphasized that Triage points should have all the details of bed occupancy and availability in GMC and associated hospitals. He also instructed the Hospital managements to designate one person of their Hospital for timely sharing of the details of bed availability.

Keeping in view the rising demand of hospitalization in Jammu, the Div Com directed for developing triage facilities in all districts of the division so that patients who require level 2 and level 3 care be treated at district hospitals and only patients requiring level 1 care be referred to Jammu.

It was informed in the meeting that orders have already been issued regarding the segregation of positive patients with all Covid positive deliveries and dialysis to be done in Gandhi Nagar Hospital old block.

The Divisional Commissioner directed to constitute teams of supervisors and Bio Medical Engineers for each COVID ward for maintaining hourly log of the oxygen consumption and pressure details. The ways to further reduce the wastage from ports at the patient’s end were also discussed.
