Div Com inspects newly installed Oxygen Generation Plant at DH Reasi

Also inspects Covid care facilities at District Hospital

JAMMU: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Raghav Langer today inspected the functioning of the newly installed 1000 LPM Oxygen Generation Plant at District Hospital Reasi.

The Div Com was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ajay Sharma; SSP Reasi, Shailender Singh; besides CMO, Medical Superintendent and other concerned officers.

The Divisional Commissioner took a round of plant and inquired about its overall functioning.

“With commissioning of the Medical Oxygen plant the district has become self-sufficient to cater to the medical oxygen needs. Earlier the supplies were made from Jammu”, the Div Com was told.

Meanwhile, the Divisional Commissioner also visited district Hospital and inspected the arrangements being put in place for management and treatment of Covid-19 patients.

The Div Com took a round of various wards and interacted with Doctors and paramedical staff on duty. He inquired about the facilities being provided to the patients there. It was informed that there are 40 beds reserved for Covid patients in the Hospital, of which 20 ICU Covid and 20 oxygen supported beds.

 The CMO informed that the existing capacity of beds would be increase as this facility can support more than 50 covid beds & 20 covid ICU beds.

The Div Com directed the hospital authorities to augment the existing bed capacity for efficient management of Covid patients.
