BARAMULLA: As a goodwill gesture and in continuance of its commitment towards welfare of general public Indian Army organised a free medical camp *A Healing touch to Awaam* at UPHC, in Old Town, Baramulla for the the local populace was provided by the number of doctors which included Gyanecologist, Eye Surgeon, Eye specialist, Family Physician, General Physician, General Surgeon, Pathologist, medical officers and nursing staff from Rotatory Club Pune, BMO Sheeri & Indian Army Fraternity.
In this Medical Camp 634 people turned up from adjoining areas and availed the facility, The voluntary medical team of doctors & medical staff from Rotary Club Pune, BMO Sheeri, & Indian Army diagnosed the needy which was highly appreciated by the locals
The aim of the camp was to outreach for alleviating their genuine medical problems instilled a sense of trust and belongingness in the minds of people & Building mutual trust, Confidence and Codependency between Awaam and Army .
An Initiative by the Army for the locals aimed to reduce hardships of the people living In this area. The medical check-up was conducted and medicines were also distributed among people.
It showcased the care, empathy and resolute will of the Indian Army to have healthy and happy Kashmir, especially kids & elderly. The event is yet another step by Indian Army to strengthen the Awaam Army Connect. The event was appreciated by all present and brought smiles on the face of locals.
Local Population hailed this move by Indian Army to organize such camp here where general massses can avail the benefits of these medicines especially destitute persons from the area.
