After one year closure, the reopening of educational institutions for merely one month has exposed the government’s ground work before taking the decision to reopen the Schools. It seems that the government has been taking steps and decisions in haste and thus could not sustain for a long time. In the end of February this year, the educational institutions were reopened with the government stating that all the measures have been taken to ensure that the COVID is prevented from spreading. However, with cases being detected in educational institutions, the government instead of having other precautionary measures in the bank decided to go for another period of closure thus leading to the further academic losses to the students. The government instead of deciding closure of the schools null and void should have taken the parents on the board for taking any favorable decision that could have suited the students as well as their education. The mass gathering at the Schools was inevitable after the reopening of the educational institutions, therefore, the government should have already made necessary steps to prevent the deadly virus from spreading. The government has although taken a decision, but it should consider not to extend the closure of the schools any further as it would only lead to the academic losses. The closures of Schools in not an option for preventing the cases, but adhering to the guidelines strictly can help in preventing the cases and combat the virus in unison.
