As the second edition of Khelo India Winter Games concluded at world famous ski-resort, Gulmarg today, the youth in Jammu and Kashmir outshines in the games in the last six consecutive days, who have bagged 34 medals in different games. The youth of Jammu and Kashmir have yet again proved that they are competent enough to compete with the youth of other States of the country. It is a well-known fact that the youth in Jammu and Kashmir didn’t get any major platform to showcase their talent. But, despite lacking the facilities and proper infrastructure, the youth here didn’t give up, but participated in every sport and even bagged the medals by defeating their rivals. As the incumbent dispensation is much focused towards the sports, it must take the players from different sports on board and consider providing a better and necessary platform for them so that they can be able to showcase their talent and compete at national and international levels. Providing better infrastructure to the youth would help them in taking Jammu and Kashmir to new heights. The youth are showing their enthusiasm towards sports here and the government must help these youth by fulfilling their demands regarding the infrastructure and other related things. The winter games are yet another proof that the youth in Jammu and Kashmir are talented. It stands the responsibility of the government to flourish their talent and select the budding players for the future games in other States of the country so that they can be boosted further.
