DC Ganderbal reviews progress of RDD under District Capex

GANDERBAL – The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna today held a meeting with the officers/officials of Rural Development Department (RDD) to review the progress achieved in District Capex and other schemes in the district.

At the outset, The DC took a comprehensive block wise review of tendering and allotment of works under District Capex and held a threadbare discussion on status of re-tendering of works, delay in allotment of works and other issues.

The ACD informed the meeting that about 1400 works are authorized under District Capex and most of these works are tendered.

The DC passed necessary instructions for expediting the pace of tendering and allotment of works under District Capex and directed the BDOs to utilize all available resources to the optimum so that 100 percent tending of works is done at an earliest.

She also impressed upon the BDOs to ensure regular monitoring of works in their respective blocks and stressed for better liaising and coordination between administrative and engineering wings so as to keep up the pace of the works.

Meanwhile, the DC also reviewed the progress of ongoing works of the RDD in the district and exhorted upon the ACD to take regular feedback from the BDOs regarding the achievements in various schemes like MGNREGA, PMAY, 14th FC and other ongoing schemes of the department.

CPO, ACD and BDOs of all blocks of the district attended the meeting.
